Jessica Ellen Cornish is an English artist and songwriter, who goes by the name Jessie J. Her unique style of music which blends soul electronic pop, pop, and hip-hop has brought her not just fame but also recognition from a young age. She has also earned several nominations and awards, such as the 2011 'Critics Choice Brit Awards' and "BBC's Sound of 2011.' Her music career began at an beginning of her 11th year when she was made a part of "Whistle Down the Wind,' the musical written produced by English composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. She then joined the National Youth Music Theater and appeared in their 2002 show, 'The Late Sleepers'. Her fame was boosted in the year 2011 when she released her first album of studio work 'Who You Are,' which was released on February 28. It was a massive commercial success, selling 105,000 copies in the UK and 344,000 in the US within the first week after its launch. Jessie's album also made it to second place in the Charts of UK Albums, as well as number 11 in the US Billboard 200.
